Overview

All private sector labor law in the United States is controlled by one statute– the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). The NLRA makes it legal for workers to organize, to act in solidarity with each other, and requires employers to bargain in good faith with its workers’ union.  With the termination of Gwynne Wilcox, since January 28, the NLRB has not had a quorum, and the Trump Administration has not nominated any persons to fill vacancies.

What does it mean when an agency like the NLRB is not functioning properly? How does that impact workers and their unions?  What positions has the Trump Administration taken with regard to labor unions?  What can be done about it?  Join us for an invigorating discussion with prior presidential appointees Jennifer Abruzzo, Mark Gaston Pearce and Richard Griffin Jr.  on the current state of the labor law and the labor movement in America.
