Course Description

As organizations face rapid change and shifting skill demands, HR Business Partners are increasingly expected to help leaders anticipate workforce needs rather than react to talent gaps after they occur. Strategic Workforce Planning enables organizations to align talent decisions with business priorities, while managing uncertainty and risk.

This course builds HRBPs’ capability to partner with business leaders on workforce planning conversations. Using a practical, scenario-based approach, participants explore demand and supply dynamics, talent gaps and risks, and response options. Participants apply these concepts to a case-based scenario, strengthening their ability to frame trade-offs and support informed workforce decisions.

Key Takeaways

  • Understand how strategic workforce planning supports business strategy and manages uncertainty
  • Translate business goals and scenarios into workforce implications in partnership with leaders
  • Anticipate talent gaps, risks, and trade-offs rather than reacting after issues arise
