CAHRS Executive Roundtables | Cornell University

This year the CAHRS Executive Roundtables will be held on September 11-12, 2025 on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY. This year’s roundtables will start with a networking reception with executives and students on September 11th 6:00-8:00pm in the Carrier Ballroom at the Statler Hotel. CAHRS partners are welcome to invite other representatives from their company to attend this reception.

Overview

The roundtables will begin on September 12th with a breakfast for the executives participating in the roundtables and their guests from 7:00-8:00am and then the roundtables linking students and executives will run from 8:15am-12:00pm. We will start with an overview by the CAHRS Academic Director. This overview will position the roundtable discussion in the context of the classes and activities that students will be considering during their studies at ILR. We anticipate that approximately 100 students will attend the event. We will set up "round tables" where groups of students can speak to different CAHRS partners during five 20-minute segments. This means that not all students will be able to speak with all partners (and vice versa), but there will be an opportunity for all to meet at the reception the night before the roundtables. The roundtables are meant to provide students and executives an opportunity to exchange questions and ideas about the field of HR, the most important issues facing individual companies, the skills needed by future HR professionals, and what companies look for in recruiting entry level professionals.

Space limitations require that we limit the number of CAHRS executives participating in this event to 18. We will first confirm the seats to the CHRO’s that desire to attend; direct reports to the CHRO may register to attend but we cannot confirm a seat until we have given the CHRO’s the opportunity to register first. Please note that we are asking that only one company contact be involved in the roundtable session. Students will also be able to "drop off" their resumes after the event and we will collect them and forward them along to you.

We have also reserved a block of rooms at the Statler Hotel for those of you who will need a room. You can call the Statler Hotel at 1-800-541-2501 and reserve a room under the block code "CAHRS Roundtable Sessions 2025."  Please be sure to make your reservation before August 21st as that is when they will be released to the general public.
