Overview

The Generative AI wave is here, and the HR function at many CAHRS companies is at the center of it. This new technology has the potential to transform work and the workplace, creating both opportunities and challenges.  This working group will explore how HR can harness AI to drive strategic value and help organizations navigate these changes.

Key topics that the session will cover:

Strategic Direction & Governance:

  • Who owns the AI strategy in HR?  Is it centralized or distributed across functions?
  • How can we improve communication, transparency, and scalability of AI initiatives within HR and across the broader organization to reduce duplication of efforts, enhance centralization, and ensure clear prioritization and discoverability of existing and planned projects?
  • What is the role of HR in driving GenAI adoption and change throughout the organization?
  • How are you helping your organizations grow in both GenAI fluency and the human skills that matter most? What role is HR playing in driving that growth?

Implementation & Change Management:

  •  What does the change management plan look like? How do you promote adoption and engagement at scale?
  • How are you introducing AI tools into existing HR processes without overwhelming teams?

Measurement & ROI:

  • How are you measuring the success or ROI of AI applications in HR?

Risks & Barriers:

  • What internal barriers, resistance, or skepticism have you faced, and how did you address them?
  • What types of internal pushback or process-related hurdles have you faced, and what strategies have helped you move through them without losing speed?

Future Outlook:

  • Where do you see the most significant opportunities for AI in HR over the next 2–3 years?
  • How is your HR team preparing for future AI advancements within HR and across the enterprise (e.g., talent strategy, upskilling, new roles)?

The target audience for this session is HR leadership and AI champions within HR.

In preparation for the meeting, please spend some time reflecting on your own experiences in the above areas. During the meeting, we'll spend time talking about each of the areas as well as others that are identified through the course of our conversations together.

Also, we welcome your input. If there are other specific issues you would like to discuss, please send them prior to the session. We and our host, Bloomberg, look forward to seeing you in New York City on Wednesday, October 22.

This working group will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., a session starting at 9:00 a.m., and a working lunch. The session is free of charge to CAHRS partner firms, but participation is limited to no more than twenty-five attendees.
