New Empire State Poll Highlights New Yorkers' Climate Concerns and Expectations for Elected Officials

The Cornell ILR School’s Center for Applied Research on Work (CAROW) recently released its annual report, "Employment and Work in New York State: Empire State Poll, Spring 2025." This statewide survey, with contributions from the Climate Jobs Institute, provides valuable insights into New Yorkers’ experiences and attitudes on key labor, employment, and economic issues.

This year, the Empire State Poll highlights significant public concern about climate change. Over 82% of respondents expressed some level of concern about how climate change will affect today's children and future generations, with nearly 38% indicating they were "extremely concerned."
