Eliminating Gender-based Violence and Harassment in Global Supply Chains
A landmark agreement between a supplier and local ‘Dalit” union, buttressed by other agreements between brands and international NGOs, that uses training, grievance procedures and freedom of association to eliminate and remediate gender-based violence and harassment, and prevent its future occurrence. We present here our analysis of processes and outcomes in year 2 of the operation of the agreement, as a prelude to a more comprehensive evaluation in 2025 when the agreement expires.
