Global Labor Institute Conference 2024
Groundhog Day for Global Labor Research?
Will global labor’s spring arrive early, or are we destined for more of the same? The Global Labor Insitute’s 2024 Conference takes place Feb. 2, 2024 - Groundhog Day - in New York City.
Join us as expert panelists and speakers confront climate breakdown and global production, due diligence and lead firm liability, and identifying forced labor.
“Global labor is at the center of a dizzying intersection of issues - climate change, corporate responsibility, supply chain, labor relations, etc. The 2024 Conference allows us to emerge from a period of intense research, inspect the global landscape, and ask whether we see change coming or more of the same,” said Jason Judd, executive director of The Global Labor Institute.
Building on the success of the institute’s June 2022 conference, all sessions will be plenaries with keynotes and panels with diverse perspectives — workers, employers, lead firms, policymakers, researchers and investors. Keynote speakers and discussants are to be confirmed.
Register here to join us in tackling pressing issues, such as:
- What do U.S. and E.U. corporate accountability in supply chains look like?
- How do we know what works to improve working conditions and advance labor rights?
- Climate breakdown and its impacts on global production
- Tech hype and the end of forced labor
