ICS participates in ADP’s The State of the Labor Market Summit 2019
Linda Barrington, executive director of the Institute for Compensation Studies, participated in a panel discussion on “The State of the U.S. Labor Market” at the ADP Research Institute (ADPRI) third annual State of the Labor Market Summit 2019 on June 25, 2019, at the Harvard Club of New York City. She joined top economists and scholars from Moody's Analytics, Princeton University, the University of Chicago and the ADPRI. The panel was moderated by CNN business correspondent, Alison Kosik.
The panelists discussed the American job market and shared the latest research findings and current labor market trends.
On workforce demographics, Barrington made the point that “It’s an interesting time for skilled baby boomers; they’re staying as long as they can in the workforce.” Millennials, Barrington noted, have concerns about accumulated debt and the lack of social security when they retire.
