Climate and Economy: Two Crises, One Solution
Against the backdrop of the historic People's Climate March, the Worker Institute has played a critical role in providing education and expertise to union members and leaders seeking to develop solutions to the climate crisis based on economic and ecological justice, good jobs and healthy communities. On the weekend of the march, and prior to the UN Climate Summit, the Worker Institute convened a meeting of Trade Unions for Energy Democracy, hosting union leaders from 12 countries and climate activists such as Naomi Klein.
Check out this video below from the Trade Unions for Energy Democracy meeting that took place at the ILR Conference Center on September 20th, featuring Public Services International General Secretary Rosa Pavanelli in conversation with author and activist Naomi Klein, on the topics of Climate Change, Energy Democracy and the role of the trade unions.
