Cornell experts and RI labor and climate leaders to discuss a climate jobs action plan for Rhode Island

RHODE ISLAND–On Friday, March 4 at 1 p.m, researchers from Cornell University will join leaders of the Climate Jobs RI coalition, a group of labor, climate, and community groups in Rhode Island, to discuss a report unveiled last month that outlined a comprehensive action plan to put RI on the path to becoming the first fully decarbonized state and building an equitable, pro-worker, clean energy economy.

For the first time ever, this report provides a glimpse into the economic and job growth potential of Rhode Island’s clean energy future. The discussion will cover the wide-ranging policy recommendations highlighted in the report along with the broader climate plan of the coalition to transition the Ocean State’s building, energy, and transportation sectors to renewable energy with the strongest labor and equity standards.
