All the Best to Pam Kimmet and Michael O'Hare in Retirement

CAHRS would like to thank Pam Kimmet, former Manulife Chief Human Resources Officer and Michael O’Hare, former Estée Lauder Companies Executive Vice President HR/Chief Human Resources Officer. Both Pam and Michael are National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR) Fellows. 

Michael O’Hare joined the CAHRS Advisory Board in 2018. His 31-year career included global leadership of the Human Resource function. At The Estée Lauder Companies, Michael supported its 70,000 global employees and 30+brands.He reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer and served as Chairman of the Board. He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Dundee. Following that, he went on to pursue a Msc.in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Most recently, he became a Harvard Fellow, completing the ALI program. 

Pam Kimmet joined the CAHRS Advisory Board in 2005. Her 19 years as a human resources executive reflected her passion for supporting others to help them achieve their dreams, and drive transformation and deliver results. She most recently held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Manulife for six years. Pam is an alumna of the Cornell Industrial and Labor Relations School, where she received her Bachelor of Science. She went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at Michigan State University. 

Brad Bell, CAHRS Academic Director and William J. Conaty Professor of Strategic Human Resources reflects on the decades worth of contributions made by these two iconic human resources executives. “Pam and Michael were members of the Advisory Board for a combined 28 years," he says. "During that time they had a tremendous impact on the success of CAHRS.  Each of them led important initiatives for CAHRS during their tenure and they were always generous with their time.  Their collective contributions to the Advisory Board and CAHRS will be difficult, if not impossible, to replace, but we look forward to continuing to partner with them on special projects in the years ahead.”
