Cornell Speech Hosts the Big Red Tournament of Love
During Valentine's Weekend, the Speech Team Dominates
For the weekend of February 17th and 18th, our own Cornell Speech Team hosted the Big Red Tournament of Love.
On 2/17: In the After Dinner Speaking category, Sophia Trapani finished in 2nd, while in Communication Analysis, Anya Khanna won 3rd and Ian Gilenson won 5th. For Duo Interpretation, Sofia Spillane won 1st. As a Duo, Ian Gilenson & Sophia Trapani won 3rd place. Likewise, for extemporaneous speaking, Pradhi Pakkerakari won 3rd. In Impromptu Speaking, Ian Gilenson won 4th, while in informational speaking, Eva Egeghy won 2nd. Finally, in the Prose Interpretation category, Sofia Spillane 1st.
On 2/18: For Communication Analysis, Ian Gilenson won 3rd place and Anya Khanna won 4th. In Duo Interpretation, Sofia Spillane won 3rd place. As a Duo, Ian Gilenson & Sophia Trapani won 3rd place, while in Impromptu Speaking, Anya Khanna won 1st, Ian Gilenson won 3rd, and Arnold Cheskis won 5th.
Overall this tournament was incredibly successful, both for those competing and for those hosting the tournament
