Policy Team Builds Strong Foundation in Fall Semester
While developing novice and jv teams, the team has debated antitrust law
The Cornell Policy Debate Team devoted the fall semester to novice and jv development. Debates for this year focus on the perils or advantages of expanding the scope of U.S. antitrust law. Debaters have learned about labor law, patent law, avenues for economic recovery in the United States, and the practices of corporations in technology, healthcare, and agriculture sectors. In the season opener, novices made it to quarterfinal and semifinal debates. This past January junior-varsity debaters were champions at tournaments hosted by Indiana University and the United States Naval Academy.
