AMPLIFY-NY Technical Assistance and Evaluation

Overview

AMPLIFY-NY is an initiative of the YOUTH POWER! network that provides opportunities for young people with disabilities to speak up, build skills, and prepare to take on leadership roles through regional youth leadership forums and supported leadership activities. Parents and caregivers also have the opportunity to attend a series of workshops to assist them in continuing to help set the stage for young people with disabilities to Lead On.

Project activities

This 5-year grant (2017–2021) is funded through the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC). This project will provide technical assistance activities to develop and implement the Youth Leadership Forum and a parent/caregiver workshop series. The project will also develop, pilot, and implement evaluation protocols to access project activities using a mix of on-site observations, surveys, and interviews to gather evaluative information.
