Conversation with ILO Director kicks off Transatlantic Dialogue Webinar Series

The 18th Transatlantic Social Dialogue Webinar Series kicked off with a conversation with ILO Director General Guy Ryder on October 15, 2020. The Dean of Cornell University's ILR School Alex Colvin made introductory remarks and ILR Professor Desiree LeClercq moderated the event attended by over 200 registrants from various sectors. The discussion addressed a range of issues, including rising unemployment, the impact of the crisis on migrant and informal workers, the impact of trade agreements on workers, and gaps in social protection.
