Leadership Team Addition

Valerie Carson Benjamin ’90 will join ILR May 1 as its first-ever assistant dean for human resources.

The new position is part of the school’s continuing effort to build its internal human resource capacity to match ILR’s world-class reputation in the field, said Kevin Hallock, ILR’s Kenneth F. Kahn ’69 Dean and Joseph R. Rich ’80 Professor.

“Valerie has had an exceptional career in consulting and corporate HR, rising to the top HR position at EarthLink, with more than $1 billion in sales. We are delighted she is coming home to her alma mater”

She has also held leadership positions at Constellation Brands, The Continuous Learning Group, Accenture and Mobil Oil Corporation.

Benjamin said today, “Twenty-five years ago, ILR gave me the foundation to launch a career in HR. I’m enormously grateful for the opportunity to put it to work for ILR, to bring it back to where it all started.”
