ILR Junior Named Spectrum Scholar

Priscilla Natawidjaja, who begins her junior year at the ILR School this fall, is one of 20 students nationally to recently be named a Spectrum Scholar.

Each student receives $20,000, half during their junior year and half during their senior year, mentoring, and the opportunity for an internship at one of the company’s corporate campuses in Stamford, Charlotte, St. Louis or Denver.

“Being a Spectrum Scholar will help me achieve my career and future goals not only through helping me fund my schooling, but also through career mentorship,” Natawidjaja said.

At the ILR School, Natawidjaja is focused on human resource studies and is interning this summer with Preqin, a London-based company providing data and analytics.

“I couldn’t be happier with my ILR experience so far,” Natawidjaja said. “ILR has provided such a robust support system, whether it be the Office of Student Services or the Office of Career Services. All of my professors have been inspiring, and I feel very lucky to be studying under so many leaders in the study of labor.

“Although the major itself is quite niche, I have never felt limited as a student; the program is quite broad and allows for a lot of freedom. One class that stands out is Organizational Behavior with Associate Professor Ben Rissing, a class I took my first semester at ILR—the class was just so well taught and I still apply many of the concepts I learned daily.”

A resident of Rego Park, New York, Natawidjaja is also a musician who sings in Cornell’s chorus and plays multiple instruments.
