Kim Cook is extension faculty for education and training at The Worker Institute. She has formerly served as president of SEIU Local 925, a local of 26,000 education and public sector workers in Washington State. In 2004, she went on to serve on the SEIU International Executive Board and as international vice-president at SEIU. In 2010, Cook established a new member engagement department at SEIU, working with locals throughout the country on leadership and organizational development. She has also worked for OPEIU, AAUP and Working America.
