Sarah Von Schrader

Director, Research and Program Evaluation

Sarah joined the K. Lisa Yang and Hock E. Tan Institute on Employment and Disability in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in 2009. She is a senior research associate and serves as the Director of Research and Program Evaluation at the Yang-Tan Institute. In this role, she leads several research and evaluation projects, working with a diverse team of researchers and practitioners.

Sarah’s research focuses on employer practices related to recruiting, hiring, and advancing individuals with disabilities, including topics like disability disclosure/self-identification, employment discrimination, workplace flexibility, and federal workplaces.

Sarah is currently the Co-Director of the Technical Assistance Partnership for Data (part of the New York State Education Department Educational Partnership). She has served as PI or Co-PI on grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living.

Prior to coming to YTI, Sarah worked in the fields of health policy and management, educational testing, and evaluation.
