Trina Scordo
Trina Scordo was born and raised in New Jersey and has been working as an organizer for more than 25 years. She started her career in labor as a union organizer in Washington, DC with HERE Local 25, organizing hotel workers. She eventually returned to New Jersey to do local political work and was afforded the opportunity to work with Change to Win, organizing port truck drivers in Newark, NJ. This experience sparked a deep interest in how to develop and sustain labor community partnerships.
In 2012, Trina was hired as the Executive Director of NJ Communities (NJCU). NJCU was founded, based on the vision of CWA Local 1037, to organize the early childcare education industry and the communities that rely on these services. Trina has her BA in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC and her Master of Social Work in International and Community Development from Monmouth University.
