Lynda Nguyen

Climate Jobs Associate, Climate Jobs Institute

Nguyen is a Climate Jobs Associate at the Cornell ILR Climate Jobs Institute.

Nguyen has a ten-year track record working on a range of social justice issues, highlighting her passion for community-driven strategy and equitable policy implementation.

Before her role at CJI, Nguyen advised utilities and government agencies on energy efficiency programs serving low- and moderate-income communities. Her efforts helped secure over $1.7 million to decarbonize affordable housing in New York’s downstate region.

Nguyen has also designed narrative-building research for political campaigns advancing worker rights and environmental justice. Her work won the passage of the NY HERO Act– the country’s first permanent airborne infectious disease standard, $4 billion for green infrastructure projects in New York City public schools, and $4 million for Commercial Waste Zones implementation in New York City.

Nguyen received her M.Sc. in Policy and Management and her B.A. in Education from The New School.
