Rhea Wolfson

Head of Internal and Industrial Relations, GMB Union

Rhea Wolfson is a Scottish trade union Organiser, working in London as Head of Internal and Industrial Relations at GMB Union. GMB is a general union representing over 600,000 members in industries across the private and public sector. GMB members work in the gas industry; building and decommissioning nuclear power sites; in energy intensive manufacturing sites; across the NHS; local government and many more industries.

Rhea started as a Branch Secretary (leader of GMB Local G28/51) in Glasgow and was one of the team of leaders in the fight for equal pay in Glasgow which secured over £770milion in backpay for women members. Rhea now heads up the National Women's Campaign Unit which is GMB's Equal Pay Department, along with leading the wider equalities team at GMB, and supports GMB's campaigning work around Energy and Climate.

Previously, Rhea has held elected positions within the Labour Party and stood for election in 2017. Rhea continues to engage with the Labour Party, and now the Government, on GMB's industrial priorities.
