Dr. Sheng Lu is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies at the University of Delaware. He also served as a consultant for the International Trade Centre (ITC) co-run by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN). With over 80 publications in academic and trade journals, Dr. Lu’s research focuses on apparel sourcing, international trade and trade policy. Dr. Lu received the 2014 Rising Star Award and the 2019 Mid-Career Excellence Award from the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) in recognition of his research and teaching excellence. Dr. Lu’s published works have been regularly cited by U.S. government reports and international organizations, such as the U.S. International Trade Commission and World Bank, and featured in media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, NPR, The Washington Post, Reuters, BBC World News, and CNN, among others.
