Trude Ertresvåg
Trude Ertresvåg is Chief Sustainability Officer at Devold of Norway (since 2023), where the company this year piloted the GLI Metrics to meet the requirements of Norway’s Transparency Act on supply chain due diligence. The previous year, she supported union formation at the company’s Lithuanian mill, reflecting Norway’s tradition of social partnership and the value of functioning unions.
She previously worked in public procurement, first for Norway’s hospital procurement organisation (2014–2022) and later for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel (2022–2023), using procurement as a strategic lever to achieve broader social outcomes. Earlier, she was Head of CSR at REMA 1000 (2012–2013), a leading retail company in Norway and Denmark, gaining practical insight into the limits of social audits.
Ertresvåg has also served as a Norwegian diplomat, seconded to the OSCE as Personal Advisor to the High Commissioner on National Minorities (2009–2011). At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she worked on European affairs and international trade (2006–2008) and later on security policy, including roles at the International Secretariat of the Norwegian Parliament (2008–2009 and 2014). She holds an MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
