Julie Torrey

Julie A. Torrey, Esq. has been a full-time arbitrator and mediator with Scheinman Arbitration & Mediation Services and J. Torrey ADR Services since 2017.  Ms, Torrey handles labor and employment disputes involving diverse disciplinary, contract and statutory issues.  She worked in the labor & employment field for over twenty years prior to her work as a neutral, including serving as Counsel to a boutique labor law firm on Long Island, and a litigator with a prominent New York City firm.  She serves on the AAA Labor, Employment and Consumer panels, as well as the EDNY Arbitrator panel, NYC's OBC panel, the FMCS Roster of Arbitrators and many private panels in a variety of industries, including education, transportation, healthcare, real estate, commercial, hospitality and service industries.  Ms. Torrey, B.A., cum laude, Georgetown University, J.D., cum laude, Georgetown University Law Center, serves on the Board of the Long Island Labor and Employment Relations Association and works as an adjunct instructor with the Cornell University, ILR Outreach Division.
