Lisa Dix

New York Director, Building Decarbonization Coalition (BDC)

Lisa leads BDC's New York team, using her strategic vision, leadership and passion to design and drive comprehensive, stakeholder-led campaigns and policy efforts to decarbonize NY at a neighborhood-scale. This work has led to nation-leading successes including: tax credits for geo-thermal systems; the launch of UpgradeNY, a labor-led collaboration; and passage of the Advanced Codes and Standards Act, the All Electric Buildings Act, and the nation’s first-ever Utility Thermal Energy Network and Jobs Act. Lisa previously directed the Sierra Club’s groundbreaking Beyond Coal campaign, which secured a coal-free NY coupled with worker and community transition plans. She was also instrumental in building NY’s offshore wind movement and industry, securing the country’s boldest procurement targets and labor standards. When not advocating for neighborhood scale decarbonization, Lisa enjoys hiking in upstate NY with her two children and their dog.
