Gia Marotta
Marotta is a Training & Education Support Specialist at the Cornell ILR Climate Jobs Institute.
Gia is a writer, educator, and program manager with a focus in creating participatory, culturally responsive learning experiences for diverse audiences. She has designed and facilitated arts-integrated programming for students from economically marginalized communities both locally and internationally. In 2009, she co-founded a peer-led arts program for the Rwandan grassroots HIV initiative, WE-ACTx; a collective of former participants has run the program since 2013. Most recently, Gia conducted high-level program management and coordination for the Climate Jobs Institute’s partner, the Climate Jobs National Resource Center, which included staffing CJI and CJNRC’s Climate Jobs 2050 Committee.
Gia has an M.F.A. in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Theatre Studies from Yale University.
